Women's Engagement Board
The Women's Engagement Board (WEB) is comprised of students, post-docs, and staff. Through quarterly meetings, it endeavors to build leadership towards a more inclusive Caltech's campus. This group meets with the shared goal of influencing cultural change and improving the campus climate at Caltech.

Each women's specific group hosts their own array of events including; journal clubs, invited speaker time, professional development, and community-building events.
Year three this board meeting quarterly to gain professional development skills.

2017-2018 Women's Engagement Board
Year two this board went into each of their own areas of study to offer 10+ programs per quarter focused on women's experiences in STEM. You can see in the quarterly CCD report a full list of workshops, mentoring, journals clubs etc. offered each quarter.
2016-2017 Inaugural Women's Engagement Board Year 1
This was the inaugural year of The Women's* Engagement Board (WEB). This group is a collaboration comprised of 15 women (1 postdoc, 6 grads, 2 undergrads, and 4 staff) to build a more inclusive environment for women at Caltech.
We provide creative solutions for advocacy and programming so each person can succeed at Caltech and beyond by identifying blind spots, offering support and building life skills.
The WEB was given professional development and produced events centered on teamwork, leadership, event planning, communication, goal setting and achievement, influencing the climate/culture of an organization, creative problem-solving, and results-driven investment in environments that foster diversity.
*We use an inclusive definition of "woman" and we welcome trans women, genderqueer women and non-binary people.
