Welcome to COMPASS Mentoring Program
Launched in 2020, this year-long, identity-first program matches undergraduate and graduate students with volunteer mentors/femtors/themtors within the Caltech community. Matches are based on shared interests, priorities and identities. Alumni, faculty, postdoctoral fellows and staff serve as mentors/femtors/themtors to provide insights, counsel and support to enhance the student experience at the Institute.
Eligibility:
Mentee/Femtee/Themtee
- Must be an enrolled undergraduate or graduate Caltech student
- Must commit to a minimum of eight meetings (either virtual or in-person) during the academic year
Mentor/Femtor/Themtor
- Must be a Caltech faculty member, postdoctoral fellow, staff member, alumni or affiliate
- Graduate students (G3 and above) may serve as mentors/femtors/themtors
- Must commit to a minimum of eight meetings (either virtual or in-person) during the academic year
Application Timeline:
- September 26 – Application opens
- October 21 – Application closes
- October 25 – Notifications released on a rolling basis
- Week of November 14 – Orientation Dinner
